Fear

                                                      Dear Fear,

I'm writing this letter because it's never been easy to face you,

I was told that in order to conquer you

I should chase you instead of run away in tears,

But now it's as clear as water the solution to the troubled waters you bring.

The unpleasant sting rings like the phone when your on the other side,

I need to get the courage to have a talk with you,

I will no longer let the lingering impact of you

prevent me from heading towards the unknown.

The unknown contains my future and dreams which are unreachable,

unless I replace you with courage.

My courage isn't perfect but I will never be afraid to fail,

because I know I can get up and try again,

as long as I have the breath of life in my lungs.

Fear, you've always been in my way trying to shorten my breath,

but today I found a way because courage told me exactly what to say.

I will always be brave and walk confidently towards the unknown without you.
