Fear Of The Unknown

The room goes cold

The door squeaks open

And footsteps grow louder

A hand grabs the covers

My body becomes exposed to the dark

The unknown hand reaches for a pocket

I try my hardest to scream

Nothing comes out

I see something in the hands grip

Then a loud noise breaks the darkness

A bright flash then shows the man’s body

I feel blood trickle from my veins

I clinch my eyes shut

Hoping for nothing else but for the pain to fade

When my body stills

 My soul is released

and I understand the fear
