There's a burning fire

burning down my soul

where all the pain inside

is locked up in it's chains

although everyday's a fight

the darkness haunts at night

when no one is there to mend

this dreadful feeling never ends.

It's killing the life in me

My hope, desiring to be free

Yet in the nights I cry

but I pull together, stay strong, and I try

Wanting to seek the light

to be at peace in mind and heart

I can't let this tear me apart

For I know tomorrow

will be a brand new start
