Glass Divide

I stand with others

I'm alone
Separated by invisible glass
That I can pound against
Scream through
Try to destroy

Yet no one notices

I am in a crowd
And all alone
I'm in my own world
Seeing everything through a filter

All your blues are my reds
All your greens my yellows
I am your friend
And I am a strange creature

I speak my mind
And earn strange looks
So I have learned to pretend
The glass isn't there
That my reds are blues
My yellows, green

I have learned to accept
I will always be alone
