God, I Love Him

Because I love you

I respect the fact that you work so hard

Am I obligated to? No, I don't have to

But I respect your midnight chickenscratch on a flashcard

Because I love you

I'd never push your boundaries if they weren't close enough to mine

No matter what, it will always be you that I will always attend to

Nothing would change that, not even unnumberable glasses of wine

Because I love you

I'd fight distance, I'd fight time, and I'd fight death

You I'd hold onto

Your words, your love, I'd hold onto till our dying breath

Because I love you

It'll never be the same if I don't have you
