What makes my mind tick?



It is not something found in this world.



“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”



Whether in sickness or in health, and even if you are lame or blind,



Focusing my thoughts and dreams on Him leads me to where I need to be.



With The Son on my mind, a warmth and comfort comes over me.



“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”



My thoughts should stay positive, and my ways be for the better of myself and my fellow mankind.



I need not have fear, for He is walking beside me, guiding me, as my friend,



And no matter the pain or good now, I remember that there is something even greater in the end.



I am asked, “Why have faith as you do? What is it that He could ever give?”



And what He gives to me is the right way to think; the best words to say; and a great reason to live.



Textbooks are fine for information, and brain games can be fun,



But the only way I ever gain knowledge and understanding are by trusting in His Son.



So you ask about my thoughts and what it is that makes me tick?



Well, what “IT” is happens to be the greatest miracle, not some kind of trick.
