Greeted by the Giant in the Sky

Smooth, round and reflective droplets of water descend from wisps of dark dissipated cloud

Clip clop, falling in rhythmic succesion upon the roof of a home

Clip clop, they burst upon impact in splashing outward motion

Clip clop, sounding their arrival as horse hooves do upon slick pavement

Clip clop, sliding down along the window of a child's room

Clip clop, the droplets return to the earth

Clip clop goes the beat of nature's heart

It casts an enchantment over the ears of a serene and sleeping child

Clip clop, her song grants the child visions of dancing escapades

Of sparkling droplets twirling through the air to disperse upon the ground

Clip clop clip clop, clip clop, clip clop . . . clop, the tempo slows

Serenity returns once more to the child in slumber

Serenity departs from the child's room

She passes through the window into the storm,

And emerges from behind the dark wisps overhead,

Cceasing the droplets' song

Out from the dark, awakening from deep slumber,

Emerges the giant in the sky,

Unpercieved if not for golden shafts of silken hair potruding from his head,

Granting him ther visage of a lion's mane

Warmly he smiles upon his child in slumber

His rays of shimmering light pass through the window

He illuminates the child's room with his smile

Just as the giant before him,

The child arises from slumber

A knowing smile makes it way,

Spreading across the child's cheeks

He is greeted by the warm mane of light

Protruding from the giant in the sky
