Hashtag

#twitter is my biggest distraction

#distracted

Your being distracted

Hypnotized by hashtags memorized by the masses old slaves to the new master

The media is trying to make a fool out of us

Sprinkling trending topics like fairy dust

Just long enough to come up with a better cover up for the latest crises

But not even twitter can distract us now

#MediaBlackOut

#Ferguson

#BlackManDown

Gunned down for no reason that’s apparent apparently its coherent for white crooked killer of a cop to gun down an unarmed man

Tell me officer are you the reincarnation of the murderous midsets that came before you

The kkk never faded it was just reborn

I can still see the life of emit till drained away in the eyes of every black boy who died and death was justified with lies

America has been stuck in a cycle of reblogs retweets and repost in attempt to rewire our way of thinking

While redirecting our focus so we don’t realize history repeats

Its funny how Disney rewind aired the same night Ferguson riots reached a peak

People protesting power abuse from there living rooms

Tear gas and bullets have replaced birds and butterflies here

This is not a war zone in a foreign country

This is ferguson Missouri

This is America

Home of the free and land of the brave

How are we free when were prisoners in our home

The social media networks we confide in our nothing but closets to hide in

What was meant to keep us interconnected is nothing but a net of lies

Black communities seen as convict culture

Petty crimes seen as federal cases

And federal cases let go with no indictment

It’s a shame what this world has come too
