Heat

I wallow in the warmth.

Your heat and that of the lazy summer sun

Streaming through the open window

Sultry silence interrupted

By the faint flutter of curtains flaring and

Falling away with the wind,

Stretching―reaching to where you

And I lay knotted in the linen

And each other.

Wave upon wave of sweet breaths roll

Over the contours of my cheek,

Tracing every ridge,

Leaving in their wake tiny bumps―

Awakened and yearning for more―

Before pausing briefly at your hand,

The very tips of your fingers tracing

Ever so subtly over every swell,

Every crevice on my body―

Your body.

I am yours

Lost in you for eternity.
