Heretic

The cynic in the back of the room

The one with caustic wit and biting retort

Sarcastic, sardonic

Jovial in conversation

Until provoked by incompetency or stupidity

Blunt and unforgiving truth

Backed by a mocking smirk

Only a front

Hiding complete disgust and disappointment

For those in power

So much influence, yet so little effect

I'd show them, given half a chance

I know what they're doing wrong

I see how to fix it

But don't listen to the common man

Nevermind that he's never been wrong in his predictions

What could he know?

He's just another face in the crowd

Just another number on the list

Just you wait.

You'll never see it coming

You've already sealed your fate

Done in by your own pompous arrogance

Guess you should have listened
