A hero to myself

Shot to the heart
Shot to the head
Grazes on my body
Wishing I’d died instead

Let the eye of the pin
Bleed stains on this paper
Of my heart’s pain and sins

At the end of the barrel
As God is my witness
My Love caused my peril
I couldn’t cheat or defy fate
When death was so near
More myself I hate
Forsaken love was my fear

I lived
I loved
I have yet to conquer
The lessons in the revolver
To catch the speed and dodge
The calamities
Of the unknown that surrounds me

The waging war is mental
Understand what I went through
The battlefield so surreal
Stress of cognition I deal – with
I will not let
Currency I can not get
Afflict my being
It defiles the living
that paper is not yours for the spending
Loans pending
Truth
The beginning and ending
Numeric code pending

Eyes can not see scars
Like the holes in the cars
Metal rained down upon cars

To be dead clinically
Is to stop all function physically
You will understand eventually
I am still the same coincidentally

It takes finding yourself
Less worrying about wealth
More stress on better health
Genuine love of stealth

It takes adaptation
To experiences and people
Motivation
To move on

It takes confidence
To be a birthed again here
To have the outside mold you
Into who you’re meant to be

I am an angel
Trapped inside
A human being
Because I have died
And came back to life
Therefore, I have lived.

Real eyes, realize, real ties
In this world of real lies.
A true hero is one who can save oneself.
