Hey Martin

Hey Martin, Hey Martin, would you be proud
If you were live to see the way that we live?
You fought for civil rights, justice, and diversity
Now blacks, whites, and Hispanics are together in unity

Hey Harriet, Hey Harriet, would you be surprised
To know that colored people can look up to blue skies
We no longer have to runaway to have a life of freedom

Hey Mr. Douglas, Hey Mr. Douglas, Would you be amazed
To see how the world has changed in so many ways
No more slavery; no more judging of color
No more segregation; no more discrimination
We live in a world with white sisters and brothers

Hey Ms. Truth, Hey Ms. Truth, would you be shocked
To know that women of color rock
It took years for women to be treated equal
Now they have rights and chances like regular people
