hide
Hidden in the shadows
There’s nothing to see now
For the soul of you is shallow
And you don’t see how
The wicked words you say
Have made me immune to pain
While all surrounds me is grey
You pull me down with chains
I let a cry of help escape my dry lips
And you laugh while I fall deep
But these heavy chains that drape around my hips
Make it painful at night for me to sleep
I still try to force the reap memories out that I can’t keep
And while I dream to one day tell on the bad guy
Who would believe a girl who weeps
With bruises on her thighs
