Him

Happy,

I hear his laugh through his sideways smile

Surrounded,

I feel his warm embrace

Fulfulled,

I see the sun setting in his caramel eyes.

In every rain drop on a tumultuous day

In every ray of rainbow light in a stain glass window

In every discrete smell floating through a Spring breeze

a meritorious piece and memoire of the man I love.

When people ask,

"What do YOU value the most? What can't you live without?"

I don't say

beauty

or

a small fortune.

Instead,

my lips curve into a faint smile

my eyes droop and dream

my mind wanders

and I softly reply,

"Rain drops on a tumultuous day

The rainbow lights in a stainglass window

The smells in a Spring breeze."

and I smile

because I am thinking of Him.
