Hope In The Future

Some people of this Country elected a bigot to lead

Many others are left with fear, that fear turned red by the blood of the dead

I wish that I could say that I don't know how I got here

But everywhere I go I am reminded of the tears

The tears of a son who's father was shot and killed

By a White police officer who had no guilt

The tears of a mans fiance as he dies in front of her

The police officer waving the gun around still yelling at her

People wonder: "Why All The Fuss?"

Well this is Why:

Accountability needs to be held to a greater standard

Many people go free while others are stranded

Funeral's day after day

From a bullet that had no place

Anger is spread because Justice is not done

So people March ON

You say we need to: "Get It Together"

Well that's your Problem

A Nation Divided, where people are stranded Forever

No, forever, is not an option

We will ALL make it through with United Adaptation

Enough with the bullcrap, let's start seeing some action

Peacfully and United We Will March

For there is Hope In The Future

This poem is about:
My country
Our world
