How to ...

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 New English Translation (NET Bible)

For though we live as human beings, we do not wage war according to human standards, 4 for the weapons of our warfare are not human weapons, but are made powerful by God for tearing down strongholds. We tear down arguments 5 and every arrogant obstacle that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to make it obey Christ.

How to forsake unrighteous thought and to abandon this sinking ship?

If all seems calm on the sea of life and just a few clouds in sight?

There is no sense of urgency to leave a life that seems an easy trip

Since everyone around you is in the same boat without a trace of light

If someone’s eyes are closed to truth why to expect understanding?

If someone loves roller coasters where than is peace of mind?

Is not life a fluke to them as they live life always demanding?

As they waste opportunities and gifts that the Creator provides to find?

“One lives only once”, their chosen motto. “Live it up today”, a lonely battle cry

Good reasoning thrown out the door with consciousness of right or wrong for sure

A deep breath or sigh, a tear almost forgotten in a silent funeral in wonder “why?”

Are swept of the porch like before in hope that the Lord will such endure
