I Am...

Green eyes

Teardrops like diamonds fall

The realization of lies

She has no one to turn to or call

Broken heart

Why must this always occur

Curled on the bed, she falls apart

Only seeming to effect her

Sudden rage

A fire lights in her soul

Defiance turns a page

She alone can fill this hole

Child grown

Her daddy took her hope

Abuse but not alone

Tears again choke in her throat

Precious voice

Hardened to the world

A wall defines her choice

She is protected against the cold

Delicate lips

Her only solace found in song

To the guitar her hands grip

Fear finally gone

Hopeful light

Dare she trust again?

Release a hold so tight?

Her heart cries "Ascend"

Deep void

Falling upon the sky

Her barrier all but destroyed

So happy she could cry

Green eyes

Realization dawns in their anterior

"I can" she decides

I am a warrior
