I am who I've become

Location

Texas A&M Kingsville
United States

I am who I've become through my pain, my sorrows my struggles

When I was younger, the only emotion I felt was hunger

Hunger in the literal  maternal sense

So cold was her heart to her own child

Where was dad but never around

Life was my mom and dad

With such parental responsibility, taught me how much entincing the human

soul can be, but can be just as revolting.

Everyday, life obliterates me, and rebuilds me even higher than I was before, and I love it.

I was the A and B highschool student I was because my incentive was walking home everyday

and seeing the poverty I lived in each day.

Now, I sit in a college classroom with the same work ethic and incentive.

I am who I've become because I want to be someone greater than my parents were.
