I Need JESUS

Alone on a desert island

I wouldn't need anything.

I wouldn't need anyone.

Besides Jesus.

I don't mean the Jesus in my math class.

I mean the physical Jesus Christ of the Bible.

The Jesus that got the party going

When he turned water to wine.

The Jesus that helped his friends out

By feeding the 5000.

My friend Jesus could make the salt water

Drinkable.

My pal Jesus could turn the rocks into

A four course meal.

Who needs books

When you have the most interesting man around?

Who needs school buddies

When you have the ultimate best friend?

Jesus would be my way around the island.

Jesus would speak the truth about the poisonous creatures that inhabited it.

Jesus would ultimately be my life.

If I were on a desert island

I wouldn't need anything.

I wouldn't need anyone.

But Jesus.
