If I cry in a million Shadows

If I Cry in a Million Shadows

Here I sit in a world of a million shadows.

Not alone but left alone.

Listening to the screams pouring from so called meadows.

And those they scream at, flaunt their hearts of stone.

A setting once born on religion, follows no more.

The shadows cry out in pain and begin to suffer,

But those in power only turn and ignore.

Shadows now lose trust even in those they called “Brother.”

But what if I begin to cry?

What is my shadow developes a light?

Will someone come to wipe my tears dry?

Or will they come to return my shadow to the night?

If I cry a desperate plea, will they stop?

And cry along side me for all that we have lost?

If they see the world now, will not a single tear drop?

Sure both sides can keep fighting, but to what end or what cost?

If I cry will others see and the light begin to spread?

Will they give up arms to stop and mourn?

Or will they again fill with hate and forget the dead?

To continue down this bloody path, their lives by which they’ve sworn.

I do not want to be conquered by darkness or sin.

I wish to cry and let my light be seen by all.

For if we continue to follow the path born by the greed of men.

Then our world will one day make an instant and tragic fall.

So I will continue to cry and watch the light grow.

To watch it spread like the most auspicious disease.

It will affect my surroundings so that all will know.

This shadow has been finally put at ease.
