I'll Wait

I'll wait for you, under the mistletoe

Standing cold with my feet in the snow, snowflakes in my hair and lashes

A kiss sweeter then peppermint, and hot lips warm my face with a burning blush

Surrounded by the fragrant smell of Christmas

Cinnamon and pine trees

Listening to the jingle of Santa's bell across the street, and the crackling of every fire

the songs of carolers and stranger's kindness

We can watch the nativity, see the virgin Mary and baby Jesus lying in the manger

Holding hands as the choir of angels sing

I've run through this a million times in my head

And only in my mind, this dream will stay

I'll wait for you, under the mistletoe
