I'm so tired.

Of the death,
Of the corruption,
Of the racism.

I'm so tired.

Of hearing about bombings, About shootings, About murders of innocent lives.

I'm so tired.

Of fearing for the lives of those I don't know,
Of fearing for my own,
Of fearing for the lives of those I would take a bullet for.

I'm so tired.

Of the abuse,
Of the assults,
Of the unanswered cases.

I'm so tired.

Of hearing the slurs,
The poison coming from the lips of those I share skin color with.

I'm so tired.

Of being scorned.
By my age group
By older generations.

Instead of hating each other, can't we work together to fix this Hell?
Instead of berating us for the life we've been given, older generations, parents and grandparents, can't you help us by fixing what we can't?
Please?
No?
...
Alright...
Just remember that while you sit in your retirement home, complaining that your kids and grandkids don't visit, that they're fixing what you made worse.

I'm so tired.

Of this society,
Of it's greed,
Of it's ways.

With how badly everything is going, we'll be back at square one.
Where people of color weren't considered human.
Where a woman's only role was in the home. Where everything was...wrong.
Is that what you want?

 I'm so tired.

Of the hatred towards other religIons.

It's the same god, only from a different perspective. Can't you accept that? Can't we live in peace?

I'm so tired.

Of waiting for the end of the world.
For the end of my life.
For the apocalypse.

I'm so tired.

I'm so afraid.

What's happening to us?
