Innocence

Troubled in school with  a rough past

He signed a couple papers to start fresh

Now being tested mentally and physically yet always comes  last

Pushed to the limits with aching limbs yet he pushes on

But he cant seem to forget the past

He earned a medal, now he gets a uniform

So innocent

The Army made him reform

His innocence forever lost behind a gun

His mother and father are so proud

Behind enemy lines, his partner said RUN RUN!

Debris flies left and right

His partner rushed over to carry him

He was strapped on to a stretcher  nice and tight

Chrimson red rushed down his leg

Soldiers showed up at his parents door

The dog tag said  "Ted"

They are strong

We are thankful

They are our heros
