Twinkle twinkle little star

How I wonder how you are

I’m just a girl with a dream

I notice things you can't see

What is real what is fake

We have determined our own fate.

We watched the movies, wrote the books

So as I stand here I look at the sky

And for the first time, I understood

How the stars are meant to be read

Not as a book but as a dance

Reach for the stars they tell us this

But yet here we are and we’ve reached the start and parked the car.

Oh world

Oh world

Please listen to their cries

They yearn to be watched and plead to be heard

Yet we don’t even stop to appreciate their spark.

Why for the first time as I looked up in the sky

It was the first and the last I would see them sparkle and shine

I looked at them newly

As if we were old friends

Waiting and waiting for that same sparkle again

That's when I realized this is world is a lie

For even the stars aren’t safe in the sky

We have refused to hear them to watch their dance

And we throw the trash we can’t keep into their space

Onto the dance floor over their spot light

Which is why I can no longer see their smiles at night.

Twinkle twinkle little star

How I wonder how you are

Your dance once clear in the sky

None ask you how's your shine?

Twinkle twinkle little star

How I wonder how you are?
