Jericho

You were tall
The half-circles under your eyes made me love you more

But really, it was the dark shining
ojos negros de amor

Pink lilies bloomed when you met father, talking fast
She was such a pleasure to have in class

I bathed in the light of your eyes,
like ocean waves lapping tender toes

With you I stuttered, a heart murmur like a step forgot
And the walls around my mouth came crashing down
