Every Other Man/ King

The King of Shadows

Was broken in battle

When a man stepped up

and got nailed to a cross

but He was not lost

no, even Death He fought

not for Himself but for us

even our soul had been marked

but no more, it was washed

so nothing was lost

for He rose in three days

with a smile on His face

He knew no hate

for those who sent Him to the grave

but willingly He forgave

no, He did not blame

but still our heads hung in shame

"King of the jews?'

yeah and every other man."
