There were screams and shouts all around
The judge had found nothing wrong
The year was 1992 when it all went down
"Can we all get along?"

Koreatown was on fire
A business was lost to a man named Hong
The people thought the judge was a liar
"Can we all get along?"

The military moved into the city
People acted like they were at the end of a prong
The president felt no pity
"Can we all get along?"

Could peace be drawing near?
Thirty thousand Americans sang a sad song
The air in the city was still full of fear
"Can we all get along?"

One more man lost his life
The government was slowly stopping the wrong
The tension could be cut with a knife
"Can we all get along?"

The tragic events were done
Those six days were so long
All around were the lost lives of fathers, brothers, and sons
"Can we all get along?"
