I know I'm not dreaming

I focus on a woman in the crowd
Next to her is another of varying color
Alone these two are easily distinguished
But they aren't fighting, instead bound by hope

But right now

They're in a group, a palettes mix
Rallied together for the cause that I present
Hand in hand, eyes to God for support
Pure harmony is their intent

My vision is meshed

As I lose the group to the crowd I am in awe
Thousands of them moving together
Symbolizing the giant wave of change to come
Songs of spirituality that I have heard in my teachings

As I stare into the crowd

I feel my fantasy becoming reality
What I could only foresee now in front of me
The people united in a just cause
To be known not as a country divided by hue, but as a people

Of one ever changing and indistinct color
