The Knife that Healed

Cheers to the man who cut the smooth line racing down my spine.
Cheers to the man who monitored my insides, watching everything move in every direction.
Cheers to the women who told me not to worry.
Cheers to the man who carefully stitched the thread that closed my wound.
Cheers to the two stainless steel rods holding my spine straight, protecting me everday.
And yet my greatest admiration goes to the ones I saw when I first opened my eyes,
Dear Mother and Dear Father,
Cheers to you, for I will ever be in debt for the love you have both given me.
