Life, indeed

Life
A deadly sin indeed,
A symbol of death, A symbol of disgrace,
Discrimination, Hatred, and very little hope,
Segregation worse than ours has ever been,
No slave and no forcing to work,
Just the worst horror inflicted by man.

Boys and girls young to old,
Thinking of why the world is so cruel.
The only thing they know is to fear and hate the white ones,
To respect and obey if you want to live.
Wondering why they have to die,
Or if they have a bright or desolate future.

A child with no purpose,
An adult with no hope,
Looking at everyone around,
And seeing the worst thing imaginable.

Told what to do,
Told where to live,
What to believe and how to hope,
Always living with fear that they will be told to die.
No freedoms or basic human rights,
Just one order after another, will someone heed my cry.
