Life with you

Tue, 10/31/2017 - 12:10 -- ali45

Because I love you, I understand the insecurities

But because you love me, do not belittle me, because you will lose me

You are the supporting details in a body paragraph

Alone I have enough power to move on and trudge forward in a world of hell

You add spice, zest to a black and white world

I understand we respect our goals

Never interfering to the point we give up

If I do feel like I want to give up, remind me of your love

Embrace me and my desires

Pull me out of the muck

Remind me that you'll always shine light through a dark tunnel

Give me ideas on how to keep going

Show me how to trust those outside of me

Best friends laugh, cry, share, indulge

That is how I see us half the time

The other half, I need you, desire you

You satisfy my mind and body

I won’t share you with anybody, but I’ll share the story

Sometimes I feel like I’m talking to my dog, wall, and little brother

But I need the wall for infrastructure

I need the dog for comfort and play

I need a brother to vent frustrations, as well as forgive

If we are starving, let’s go and eat

Or better yet, dig through the pantry

Let’s take a hike, inhale the beauty of the space we share

Sit down on the dirt with me

Hug me, take in my scent

Miss me when I leave to work

Greet me with a smile and an “I love you”

Don’t let me forget

Send me flowers to our house, act like you didn’t know

Keep your inner child ready to play

Let’s go out drinking till the sun comes up,

Or until our bedtime, because we work tomorrow

I’ll go out with the gang, see you when I come back

I’ll find you asleep, hugging my pillow, and kiss you goodnight

All because I love you
