To life's desires

Oh to life’s little desires

Through irresistible body’s pleasures

Such do they bring the hottest fires

Within you cannot control

Within it gives comfort and console

Promises to make things better

And somehow you become the debtor

Desires and pleasures seem to hide

Of what’s really going on inside

Flesh, body and mind rule

Becoming you the fool

As the body slowly deteriorates

Death secretly laughs in your face

As he patiently awaits

The upcoming arrival

Of the pleasures denial

Now we shall lie on our bed of pyres

Oh to life’s little desires
