Light of Hope

Though blind of sight, but not of what’s right, comes the plight of night and light.

Never able to see how their plea affects you and me brings forth deception,

Which brings us to the loss of hope.

My wish is for you to see the gloom that resides in me,

So that maybe you too can ascend above your shortcomings,

Since we are not all like the bright of day or the dead of night.

No one can claim a dream until you embrace hope initially and make it shine like the moon.

My hope in my dreams brings to me a different form of sight unseen by those in despair,

And I’m in better hands now that have opened up to the brilliance of hope.

It’s like the sun is shining through the rain and I can see what lies at the end.

There is no longer any room for pain and suffering because I can see the radiance that my aspirations bring,

So now all that is left is not the obscurity of the dark, but the hope that brightens my days on end.
