Our world was drawn in twisted lights
But the only colors we see are black and white
The Creator has no preference in any particular creed
Which is why we have the same color when we bleed

Look beyond the speeches, protests, and sit-ins
You'll discover the real war will never truly end
They will remember us for the battles that were fought
They will feel uncertain though for the dreams that were sought

For no law will make all the bitterness burn
No movement will warrant a complete turn
Society is a beast impossible to tame
In this life we will never be treated the same

But our past struggles will not be in vain
There is a heaven above where we have everything to gain
The Almighty doesn't view colors the same way
The color blind only see shades of gray
