Listen to the voice inside, my mother always said.
Listen to the voice inside.
Does it come from your heart or your head?
Never the matter, the past will be heard.
Stand up and rise, let your voice be heard!

Listen to the voices from our predecessors' words.
Their words from the past will rise up and flow.
I will teach those that do not know.
One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for ALL!

Listen to the voice inside.
I hear the voices from the past, and my heart cries from yesterday.
I will rise for all those that were brave and strong.
I will continue to be the voice for the Freedom Riders
For all the days long.

I heard your cries and will continue your journey.
Future generations must know your words, your actions, and your fight for freedom.
I will sing the song “We Shall Overcome” to my children one day,
And they will sing to theirs.
I will remember, and be the voice from the past.
I will conquer hate with love as so many of you did before me.

I will hear your song “Say it Loud, I’m Black, and I’m Proud.”
I will walk with my head held high.
I will hear your voice from the past and know that the song is not finished.
What will your voice say?

I will listen to the voice inside,
Let us rejoice in a new day.
Join me, and listen to the voice inside.
Stand up and rise, let your voice be heard!

I like the creativeness of the voice reaching into the past and using it to project future ideals and actions of pride. It definitely speaks of pride the writer feels for past history and how it relates to the writer's self image! The voice goes from listening to the mother to listening to voices of history and then to feeling a connection and responsibility to carry on "the message"! I find this poem very thought provoking.

Awesome! I love how you drew a parallel between the past and the future - between our predecessors and future generations. Your 'voice' is both driven and grounded; the essensce of true patriotism.

If they are not leaning their education properly then it causes the country and the superior research paper literacy rate decreased. Because they are not educated so they don’t able to get a good job from a good company.
