Little Blue Eyes

Mon, 02/23/2015 - 21:50 -- eburden

Little blue eyes, looking up at me

You gaze and I wonder what you'll be

You're hand wrapped around my finger tight

I promise to hold you through the darkest nights

Little blue eyes, so full of dreams

Thinking about creative things

The world is new, so much to explore

Through these eyes, which I adore

Little blue eyes, you start to close

Sleepy now you start to dose

I hold you close knowing there will come a day

When I won't be able to hold you this way

Little blue eyes you're off to sleep

Quiet now, no one makes a peep

You lay so peaceful and buddled up

And I think of how much I'm in love

Little blue eyes, you're all I could want

And when you have monsters that haunt

Little blue eyes, crystal and true

Innocent beauty, I love you.
