The Little Bookstore on the Corner

Location

49459
United States

As I walk into the bookstore I immediately head towards the cash register

I always order myself a medium hot red tea

After getting my tea I head to my favorite corner where I can become the main character

But as I get close I see you sitting in that spot reading the same book as me

The closer I get the more I see your midnight black hair

The outline of your face that shows soft, but firm angles in a such a handsome face

All of a sudden you look up and all I could do was stare

Your eyes were the color of the sunset every morning with such grace

As I look at the handsomeness that you are I feel yourself doing the same to me

As we stay there, staring at each other, I start to blush

You start to stand up, but before you get too far I sit down and open my book and you see

You sit back down and open your book as well and we read in a hush

When my tea if finished I close my book are get ready to leave

But as I start to go you grab onto my hand and I feel a jolt of electricity

I look back at you and my heart beats faster at the look I receive

We tell each other our names and then leave together in emotions of complicity

We get to my house and with a surprise you leave me with a kiss

You made my empty cold heart so much more warmer

And I dreamed that night of you in such wonderful bliss

So the next day I met you again at the little bookstore on the corner
