The long walk of life

The room is filled with happiness, love, and fear

Both the woman and man in charge of catching you when you fall

When you feel as if you are at your lowest point

They will help you through the long walk of life

When you go through your first heartbreak, or need help with school

The day you turn 16 and wake up to your dream car in the drive way

Graduation day when they help you get ready to walk the stage and get your diploma

They will help you through the long walk of life

Helping pay for your college so you don't go into debt

Guiding you down the isle on your wedding day as you look stunning as ever

When you finally graduate college and start your career

They will help you through the long walk of life

Your first born child wrapped in your arms

When they are up at 3 a.m. because they had a nightmare

The day they have to dress in black for grandpa's funeral

Just as your parents did for you

You will help them through the long walk of life
