Lost Goodbyes

And there were days where I was jealous of the moon,

For she heard the cries and the secrets that spilled from your bloodstained lips,

For she heard the sound of your heart, ripping at the seams, losing the battle no one else knew of.

And there were days where I was jealous of the moon,

For she knew the way you loved, under her soft light,

For she knew the sad smiles that etched their ways onto your lips,

For she knew the pain that lingered behind the dimming light of your brown orbs.

And there were days wher I was jealous of the moon,

For she saw the drops of water, slivering down your soft cheeks,

For she saw the claw marks against your chest,

For she saw the way you begged the world to stop the pain-your pain.

And there are days where I am jelous of the moon,

For she heard the goodbye that lost itself-never making it to my ears.
