Love Cures All

When They met,

They got along.

This is when He was strong.

They fell in love,

didn't take long.

This is when He was strong.

Things weren't easy,

they never are,

But their love could take Them far.

They had their fights,

but They got through.

In the end, love would pursue.

He worked hard,

and paid the bills,

soon He had a bosses skills.

Years passed,

they had a kid,

The disease no longer hid.

Still their love,

it did not falter.

They remembered, vows of the altar.

He worked hard,

the disease got worse.

It was the worst kind of curse.

The harder He worked,

the worse It got,

Soon the pain became a lot.

But through it all,

She held Him near.

She kept Him there through every year.

Things got harder,

as they do,

This is when She was strong too.

He got worse,

as time went on,

and eventually, His nerves were gone.

The disease had come,

It took Its toll.

It broke Him to His soul.

He refused Her help,

stubborn as He was.

Her love, it didn't pause.

She kept Her stance,

helping Him through,

all of the things that He could not do.

To this day,

I cannot recall,

A truer love to last through them all.

Where others would fail,

and leave at first trouble,

Their love lasted despite all the rubble.

The disease is still there,

and makes Itself clear,

but He always knows that His Love will be near.
