Love to the Second Power

Three words, eight letters, still it’s hard to say
I love you anyway
I’m nervous as heck, trying to figure you out
What are you about?
I don’t want no doubt
`
Baby, I love you more than Kyle loves himself
Do you believe me sweetie pie or am I a lie?
Believe me, or fried chicken will fly

Don’t look at me with disbelief
Believe what I say, don’t give me grief!
The way you smile, lights up my day
Can I be your Bae?
Yay or Nay?
Did you hear what I say?

The way your hair sways back and forth
Makes the fish in Lake Michigan head north
When your silky-smooth skin touches mine,
It sends shivers down my spine

Yo!
Like John Legend said, “I’ll be the best you ever had”
Your disapproval will make me sad
Love to the second power says,
I love you once
I love you twice
Being with you would be nice
