The Many Names

Of all the people you've met

who went though your home,

there's a greater significance

than you ever could have known.

Those that have stuck by you

through the ups and downs you've faced,

the memories you've experienced together

that cannot be replaced.

Those people that you let

into your life to stay

can take on many different names,

who, even through life's busyness will never stray away.

The ones who you love,

whom you call friend

through this bond that is everlasting

will be your family to the end.

If anyone ever tells you

that family is just flesh and blood,

a connection has been mising

to what has not been understood.
