May i be excused

Excuse my blackness
My blackness crack thin around my elbows. I have my hand rose for days, but the quantity of bright minds, bright skin, turns my flesh into my ancestors shadows.
A teacher! The curriculum you teach us is food for da brain, but the looks you give me is poison to the soul. IM hungry in class because i need food for thought and what you spitting ain't Thanksgiving.
Excuse my lack of attention
Boredom got my vision looking like foggy nights. So I drift to a warmer
Sitting where greatness drips from a tip of my lips. But A Teacher!,A Teacher, Yo teacher why got me dreaming about plummeting past African pyramids. Pasting punctuations, periods, punchlines. Im panicking probably because this is problematic. I can't believe she said i come from poverty pavements. Now im pacing, growing impatient. I wonder do you only care because of the payment.

Sebah Ghannam

I liked the ending a lot. Also the narrator's want for knowledge is admirable.
