I lay shattered

Reaching towards

The wall I built

To keep out

The realities

Of a harsh life

Yet, it’s from this wall

I fell from the grace

Of a sharp mind

Of a sound spirit

Of a strong body

Unable to climb

Back to the top

Thus I’m surrounded

By the walls

Of a crippled mind

And lay here
