Misfortune in store for me

The cookie that cares

The cookie that shares

Oh we must find hope somewhere

But where do you find your hope, which is oh so rare

Do you find it in the air ,

Those squinted eyes with a truthful stare

Oh we must find hope somewhere

Will I look into the sky and see your shinning eyes

And watch as paper falls from above

As you hold them all in your batting glove

But no cookies come with care

They share their hope they found somewhere

Oh we put our trust in sugary despair

And we think not of prayer

We act on luck so unaware

So I’ll find my hope elsewhere
