Mrs. Red Who Prayed

There once lived a young woman named Miss Red.

Whom carried a longing for love in her head.

Some with princes, in which all were uplifting.

Many with plot twists, and all with a happy ending.

Miss Red would recite them on her daily stroll.

On her way to grandmother's house as her recorder would roll.

Poor Man Wolf always awaited to hear the next section but Red always resisted.

Poor Man Wolf, why do you wait daily asks Red?

Because I believe in love & I know that it's not dead.

I wait here patiently, right here by my cart.

Because I'm simply waiting my dear, waiting for my heart.

They met daily for the next eight years.

Until the day her grandmother died & she came wiping away tears.

There was no money to cover the expenses.

Poor Man Wolf said continue to pray & god shall remove those fences.

The funeral day came and the tab had been cleared.

Miss Red ran to tell Poor Man Wolf about the relief of what she'd feared.

In his spot stood a daper young man searching through his cart.

What are you doing yelled Miss Red, the daper man replied simply waiting for my heart.

In such shock, Red yelled Wolf Man Poor then they both burst out in laughter.

Poor Man Wolf wasn't poor, and the Wolves lived happily ever after.
