My Joy My Horse My Friend

When I'm feeling bad

And not having fun

I want to sleep

And avoid everyone

My depression drifts

Like dead leaves blowing

Falling into darkness

My anger glowing

But I lift myself

Like a sailboat straightening

When I visit my horse

Her gentle mood making

My heart feel lighter

My mood brighten quicker

Her love enveloping me

Like a warm attitude shifter

Her name is Dakota

And like all good friends

She's there for me

Till the very end

My mood builds swiftly

Like a full rising moon

The light in my eyes

Signal the end of my gloom

Partners in life

Like a road without end

She is my Joy

My Horse My Friend
