A New Year

I’m dying to start a clean canvas,

A clear beginning full of motivation, freedom of chances.

I say clean and not new, for our past teaches us and holds our truth.

It’s only been a year yet there's so much I didn’t do, if only I typed less and actually moved.

This year will be harder but it’s the challenge that keeps me going because if life was so simple it all would be boring.

So forbid getting rid of the negatives

because they’re upsetting,

Instead learn from them and prepare for this year to be firm and ready.

And to conclude, avoid starting the year with the strategy to renew, let’s change our mindset and strive to improve.
