No Matter

Location

I wrote this poem/song for my little brother.  It's a super meaningful poem that my entire family deeply enjoyed, and I hope whoever reads this will too!

No Matter:

When I was young I used to pick you up when you were down,

I tried my hardest to make you smile, when you would frown,

And it’s hard to see that you are all grown up now,

Turning into a mini me, got me thinking wow,

But damn, I remember back when I was four,

First time I seen my little bro, step in through the door,

Although there were some fights and we would end up in war,

I must admit, bro, your one of few who I adore,

Yeah, and its funny how this life changes,

We’re in the same story; somehow we’re on different pages,

You know my dream of doing shows, living on these stages,

And how together we’d be famous, if I ever made it,

Listen, and your on the right path ‘cuz,

We have a good family, who loves and supports us,

No matter what we go through, we’ll always have that plus,

I’ll always love you bro, and that’s cuz,

No matter where, no matter when,

You will always have a friend,

I’ll be there, until the end,

Through these words, you can depend,

You can depend.

And like I always say, I’m happy you’re my only brother,

Because when it comes to being thankful, there would be no other,

I hate to see you sad, love it when I see you glad,

I can’t exaggerate your the best bro I could ever have,

And if there’s anything that you think that you might ever need,

Just let me know, ‘cuz I could always help you to proceed,

You’re doing fine; I can’t wait to watch you as you succeed,

Never forget no matter what you’ll always have me.

No matter where, no matter when,

You will always have a friend,

I’ll be there, until the end,

Through these words, you can depend,

You can depend.

I wrote the poem/song about my perspective as an older brother to my younger brother Connor.

My favorite part of this poem was the fact that my family got so much enjoyment from it. It really meant a lot.
