Noises

I ponder on how we've become so easily persuaded

How we thrive on crazy things to do, or being the best dressed for any occasion

Becoming clouded by the darkness that the world claims to offer

People mistake the dark for need in order for them to prosper

Its now as easy as a click of a finger then quick post to you page

to accumulate lustful wishes from the audience who watch the stage.

The dejected, unsatisfying feeling that resonate in their mind

to look, to have, to be, but dont realize that their blind.

The trips, the fun, the laughter cascade in the picture

They dont see beyond the image of the shallow, imperceptive, creature.

Where their drives and their motives are frivolous and unrealistic

where being approved by others is on the top of their to do list.

Are these the people we want to ultimately become?

What about wanting to be good, does that just not seem like much fun?

Why is making the smarter, better choice not at all a bit tempting?

Is it because its hard and requires more work and end up with you actually succeeding?

Or is it because along the way you make less regretful choices

with memories of you being wise, instead of attracting obnoxious, loud noises.

I'm marveled how society can out smart a whole race

allowing them to believe that in order to gain experience you have to be short of a disgrace

Can we not learn from others and thier misguided decisions?

Instead of reapeating their history, create your own successful vision.

Choose a path that's clean from pain, sorrow, and misery

and strive for greatness each day, not follow but MAKE history.

What will it take for others to follow a good direction?

Can we commit to all things holy? Work to start a good inception?

To distinguish dark from light each and everyday

and not give into sterotypes; create our own personal array.

Perhaps if we commit to these greater and better choices

maybe just maybe we can muffle all these obnoxious, loud noises.
